How can I activate Vehicle Digital Passport ?
Activation of Vehicle Digital Passport is done from Bluelink app,
STEPS:
1. Open Bluelink app
2. Click on “Value added service’ option available on the Bluelink home screen
3. Select Vehicle Digital Passport > Accept Hyundai terms of Use > Click on activate now > select the subscription plan and do the payment
Note:
1. Customer will receive a one-time password (OTP) on their registered mobile number provided during Bluelink enrolment
2. Only active Bluelink subscription customers will have access to Vehicle Digital Passport
What is Hyundai Vehicle Digital Passport?
Vehicle Digital passport score is an aggregated overall score / rating that represent the condition of the Vehicle and it is based on the history of accidents, adherence to the periodic maintenance, MIL notification, warranty available & driving behaviour etc.
Who can access the Vehicle Digital Passport?
Customers owning a Hyundai vehicle with an active Bluelink subscription, can access it. Vehicles which are older than 90 days from date of delivery are only eligible for Digital Passport.
Do I have to pay any fees or charges to access my Hyundai Vehicle Digital Passport?
Yes, it’s a paid service. You have to pay to access it. Quarterly subscription plans are available
Can I opt out of the Hyundai Vehicle Digital program?
Yes, to opt out of the program, please select unsubscribe.
Will I be refunded for unsubscribing?
No, there is no refund
When will the services be activated after paying the charges?
It will take maximum 24 hours for the activation of the services.
Why is it important to have a Vehicle Digital Passport?
The Vehicle Digital Passport program can be useful when buying or selling Hyundai vehicles equipped with Bluelink.
How can the Vehicle Digital Passport be useful in the buying/selling process of Hyundai vehicles?
This passport captures the vehicle records from the date of delivery till the generation of latest report, which provides the insight of the vehicle condition which may be helpful in buying a vehicle.
What parameters have been considered for generating the Vehicle Digital Passport?
Digital passport for a vehicle captures information on the following parameters:
1) History of Accidents & Periodic Maintenance of the Vehicle
2) Balance Warranty of the vehicle
3) Malfunction Indicator Blown’
4)Driving Behavior (Acceleration, Deceleration, Braking etc.)
What is the time period for capturing the above data?
The information is captured from the date of delivery until the generation of the last report. If the delivery date is January 1st, 2020 and the last report was generated on December 15th, 2023, then the data will be reflected between those dates. Except for Driver Behavior, it is only considered for the last six months and MIL for the last month.
What is accidental history?
It shows all the accidents the vehicle has undergone to date.
What are major and minor accidents?
1) Accidents are classified into two categories –’
2) Major – Any accident with structural damage such as Pillars, Body of the Vehicle, Transmission, Engine etc.
3) Minor - Denting, Painting & change in other parts except structural.
What is periodic service maintenance?
It is the recommended service for the vehicle based on the odometer reading or the number of days or months.
What is the balance warranty on the vehicle?
It is the remaining balance period (days or months / Km) for the vehicle covered by OEM warranty.
What does the Malfunction Indicator Light on the dashboard of the vehicle signify?
The light should stay on when the ignition is switched on and go off when the vehicle is started. If the indicator light remains on while driving, which indicates something is wrong with the vehicle, please visit the nearest Hyundai Service Center as soon as possible.
What is driving behavior?
Driving Behavior analysis is an analysis of vehicle sensor data, such as odometer readings, acceleration, deceleration, and brake habits.
How is the score calculated based on individual parameters?
Score is calculated by analyzing the individual parameters based on the following criteria:
1) Accidental – Severe structural damage: Lower Score, Minor denting / painting: Higher Score
2) Periodic Service Maintenance - Adherence of periodic services with odometer reading or KM, recommended by Hyundai
3) Driving Score - the total number of events like rapid acceleration, sudden acceleration, and rapid departure, over speeding, minimum kilometer travelled etc.
4) Warranty – Balance period of the warranty period as on date of report generation
5) MIL – From occurrence of MIL and date of visit to the nearest service center for rectification, earlier rectification leads to high score
How is the overall score calculated?
The overall score is calculated by taking the weighted average of all individual parameters.
How can I improve my overall score?
Please keep in mind the following tips to improve your score
1) Drive safely to avoid any accidents
2) Make sure your Hyundai vehicle is regularly serviced & you adhere to the recommended service schedule by Hyundai
3) Always make sure to accelerate gradually and smoothly. Avoid rapid speeding up and sudden slowing down unnecessarily
4) Vehicle should be covered under extended warranty
5) Rectification of MIL at the earliest by visiting the nearest Hyundai service center
Why my driving score is not being displayed on the App?
If the distance criteria not fulfilled then it will show NA, min distance travelled in 1 month is 30 Km.
What will be the frequency of data updation in passport?
It will be updated on the 10th of every month.
How does the score get affected, if the periodic service, accidental repair and MIL rectification have been done outside of the Hyundai service network?
Since data is not available for analysis, there will be no improvement update on the score / rating of vehicle.
What if, vehicle has not repaired in Hyundai service network?
Vehicle digital passport will not be having those vehicle’s records.
Is their any chance of discrepancies in generating vehicle digital passport?
If data is unavailable due to transmission problems, technical malfunctions, software problems, network problems, etc., than it leads to discrepancies.
If I am not satisfied with my scores, it is somewhat different from the actuals. what to do?

No, its purely generated based on the data collected from various sources.
