3. March Sales Results Summary
- Sold 308,503 units globally in March 2020, 20.9% YoY decline
- Sold 72,180 units in domestic market in March 2020, 3.0% YoY growth → sold 16,600 units of Grandeur, highest sales record in 3 years
- Sold 236,323 units in overseas market in March 2020, 26.2% YoY decline
- Global sales in March were mainly by sharp decline of industry demand and shutdown of major overseas plants after mid-March in line with each government’s lockdown policy, all due to COVID-19.
- Hyundai Motor Company will continue to proactively manage risk by stabilizing supply chain and to minimize negative impact from demand decline and production stoppage.
