SINGAPORE / SEOUL, November 19, 2025 – Hyundai Motor Company presented its blueprint for the future — particularly how its pioneering approach to software-defined manufacturing is driving agility and innovation — at the 2025 Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore.

Under the theme ‘Thriving in an Age of Extremes,’ the Forum addresses the reordering of global power, driven by dynamic shifts in geopolitics, technology and supply chain strategies. As a returning participant — Hyundai Motor has attended the Forum since 2018 — the company highlights its role as a key voice in advancing industrial innovation in a multipolar and increasingly complex world.

At the Forum’s plenary session, ‘The Great Realignment,’ CEO Muñoz joined leading global experts to explore the forces driving economic, technological and geopolitical transformation. The session addressed critical questions about the restructuring of the global economy amid challenges such as technological acceleration and supply chain realignment.

The Great Realignment isn't just reshaping trade flows — it's redefining where and how we manufacture. At Hyundai, we're responding with software-defined factories that can produce ten different models on the same line, adapting in weeks when market demand shifts. What we're proving at HMGICS in Singapore and scaling at our Georgia Metaplant represents the future: localized production powered by AI-driven flexibility. That combination — regional resilience plus manufacturing intelligence — is how companies will thrive in this new era.

Hyundai Motor’s participation at the Forum, running November 19–21, highlights its commitment to addressing global challenges through cutting-edge industrial transformation at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) and Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). These state-of-the-art, software-defined manufacturing facilities are designed to think for themselves, enabling smart, agile production systems that seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and eco-conscious practices.

Groundbreaking advancements at these facilities are showcased in a new promotional film, which highlights HMGICS, HMGMA and the company’s commitment to digital transformation. The film also features an exclusive interview with Muñoz, emphasizing the company’s vision to redefine industrial manufacturing in an era of rapid technological evolution.

HMGMA has integrated a variety of proof-of-concept manufacturing technologies and systems from HMGICS, scaling these to accommodate the larger production volume at the Georgia facility. Sixty percent of HMGICS’s innovation has been implemented at HMGMA.

Through HMGICS, Hyundai Motor is driving advanced manufacturing technologies across its global operations, enhancing flexibility and efficiency. By integrating robotics and intelligent automation, the company continues to set new standards in sustainable, software-driven manufacturing, redefining the future of the automotive industry.
